Kemaman, 23 May 2024 – Altus Oil & Gas Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Altus) has entered into an agreement with Eastern Pacific Marine Services Sdn Bhd (EPMS) to strengthen its presence in Kemaman. The agreement signing ceremony took place today at Kemaman Supply Base between AOGM, represented by Mohammad Taufik bin Othman, the Group Managing Director and EPMS, represented by Captain Mohd Kamarul Mamat, EPIC Marine Head of Company.
EPMS is a wholly owned subsidiary of a Terengganu State-owned company namely Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Berhad (EPIC) which plays an active role as an integrated oil and gas services provider comprising of, but not limited to, rig stacking services, shipyard support services, maintenance services and special periodic survey.
Mohammad Taufik said, “we are honored to collaborate with EPMS on this momentous agreement. Since the port is currently the centre of attention for many, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to explore potential business expansion through this partnership, especially in promoting it as a port of call for oil rigs.”
Kemaman Port is part of Malaysia’s major seaport located on the east coast of Malaysia in the state of Terengganu and a fast-emerging port acting as the new gateway to the Asia Pacific region. As a deep-sea all-weather port operating all year round, it is capable of handling Cape-size vessels with various types of cargo ranging from break bulk, dry bulk to liquid bulk.
The landmark deal is also part of the Terengganu State’s initiatives and contributions to enhance the development and well-being of the state’s socio-economic. Both parties are committed to fostering cooperation, sharing knowledge, and driving sustainable growth in the oil and gas sector.
