Altus proposed a six-month cold lay-up, offering a safe and cost-efficient alternative:
- The vessel was placed under full shutdown, with only essential systems preserved.
- Minimal watchmen were stationed onboard, reducing manpower costs.
- A detailed plan covered deactivation, preservation, monitoring, and eventual reactivation.
The Results
- Achieved an estimated 76% cost reduction compared to standard vessel operations.
- Total lay-up cost, including deactivation, monthly expenses, and reactivation, was contained at RM278K.
- Vessel maintained safely, with readiness for future deployment.
